http://img69.echo.cx/img69/805/PDR_0058.jpg
shot of the rear.damn skyjacker leaf is saging pas side
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/6487/PDR_0057.jpg
side shot removed all the stainless
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/5522/PDR_0074.jpg
passenger front side is down about 1/4 inch going to have to pull it up and fill the rest. sunroof leaked because of this.http://img69.echo.cx/img69/7657/PDR_0073.jpg
hard to see from the pic but the inner fender is puling away from the firewall. going to have to weld it up and seam seal.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/4672/PDR_0072.jpg
Same with this side.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/8103/PDR_0069.jpg
corner was mashed in. fixed now sorry about the fuzzy pic.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/5254/PDR_0068.jpg
the only rust spot in the tailgate jam little sandblasting and it will be fixed.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/7043/PDR_0067.jpg
here you can see the rust spot in the door jam and on the out side of the wheel well.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/9522/PDR_0066.jpg
more drivers side rust holes.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/2192/PDR_0065.jpg
passenger side rust holes.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/9421/PDR_0064.jpg
still thinking about spraying some color on the firewall and inerfenders and giving the motor a fresh coat.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/7474/PDR_0062.jpg

DudeBud 06-12-2005 12:40 AM

http://img69.echo.cx/img69/5229/PDR_0061.jpgsame with this side but it starts from the bottem up.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/3524/PDR_0059.jpg
this side had a few dents still woking on it.
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/7232/PDR_0060.jpg
another shot
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/5670/PDR_0071.jpg
the top is getting all the texture sanded off and is going to be gloss black going to pop the windows out I dont like masking stuff off that is easy to get out of take off makes for a nicer job
http://img69.echo.cx/img69/3008/PDR_0070.jpg

DudeBud 06-12-2005 08:53 PM

did some more work today pulled all the glass out of the top
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/9116/PDR_0088.jpg
pulling the rear windows is pretty easy get the nuts off from the inside and push the glass out stick a screwdriver in between the glass and the top and cut the sealer around the window.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/8109/PDR_0089.jpg no need to cut the bottem just pull it down.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/680/PDR_0091.jpg
the fronts are a little harder start by pulling the rubber out from the inside then pull the rubber out in the pic.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/6156/PDR_0092.jpg
very easy pry the window out do not pry on the gutter part of the top its easy to break.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/1701/PDR_0094.jpg
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/6720/PDR_0093.jpg
then started sanding with 220 on the DA sander. after the 220 it going to be sanded with 320 and then primed.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/6268/PDR_0100.jpg
but first i have to fix these cracks from leaning it up on the side of the shop.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/6117/PDR_0099.jpg
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/8832/PDR_0096.jpg

DudeBud 06-12-2005 09:11 PM

shot of my body work still need to fix thoes rust holes.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/902/PDR_0085.jpg
nice and straight on this side.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/9510/PDR_0082.jpg
not so straight on this side. the black line is where the body line should end. If you look close you can see the body line is about 1" under the black line.
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/650/PDR_0078.jpg
http://img249.echo.cx/img249/8099/PDR_0077.jpg
better shot of the cracks.

That looks great. I repaired all the rust in ine and repainted it last year. I had a bit more to repair than you in the rust department. My a-pillar was about gone on the passenger side. :eeek:
So, what color are you going with? I see you said black for the top, but was just wondering if it was going to be the same all the way around.

BTW. I like the Ford V8 in there. :great:

seaflea 06-14-2005 03:36 AM

Also, do you think the cracks in the front are from the torque of the motor? I've never seen on crack in those places before..

could be... my uncle had it before me and wreaked it really bad tweaked the frame smashed the drivers side core suport up to the exhust manifold so that could of had something to do with it. another thing it could be is the tires they shake the whole truck up untill 50mph. I should just find a new nose :dunno:

DudeBud 06-14-2005 10:14 PM

here is the color its a 95 toyota color. We added some pearl. wish my camera would focus :(

Dude that color is gonna look great!
Are you going to replace the plastic rocker guards for the rear fenders.
I welded up the holes and used gravitex (anti-chip) in the rocker area and then painted over it. It also gave it a nice texture in the area! Here is a pic of it before I painted over it.

[another thing it could be is the tires they shake the whole truck up untill 50mph. I should just find a new nose ]

have you tried using antifreeze or equal in the tires to balance them? Ive heard of this, but dont know if it works....

Keep the pics coming I love watching the progress! :bigok:

DudeBud 06-15-2005 10:21 AM

you know i was thinking about leaving them off but changed my mind they are in great shape so they go back on. I will check into the antifreeze trick thanks for the tip
