looks beef .....nice work be sure to post some pics with it mounted...

T_F_E Dec 23, 2011 06:15 PM

I can run a bead a hell of a lot straighter than I can hold a camera apparently.

ThatGuy1295 Dec 23, 2011 06:24 PM

was your camera drunk?

ThatGuy1295 Dec 23, 2011 06:35 PM

A little grindin and paint, but nice bumper. I like simple designs. Nice havin a bumper thats bullet proof. Trick is keeping the weight under 200 lbs. Especially when a winch is involved. You also could have gotten away with just notching the top and bottom, then bending the face.

That was the original plan but I didnt have a long enough piece to do that even once. I would say the weight is under 150 not to bad to pick it up at all. Thanks for the complement, seeing you avatar picture I see your a hell of a fabricator. Let me try a picture again.

Gotcha. Didn't realize you weren't working with a full length piece. You doin a receiver winch?

Thanx. Ya been workin in that field for a bit. But always appreciate other design ideas. Especially ones that can turn a deer into swiss cheese without any damage. :safari:

Heres a closer look at mine before the cage went on. This was when I was goin for a pretty'r look.

I work as a logger so I have a lot of saws and a couple winches that mount to the saw and a 2 inch receiver, they work pretty decent. Deer protection was a top priority, and your bumper looks great.

ThatGuy1295 Dec 23, 2011 07:15 PM

Thanx. Ya that will work awesome.

shakes_24 Dec 24, 2011 05:02 AM

needs to be narrowed up a bit ,,, maybe angle the bottom up at the outside like ThatGuy1295's bumper.... but once again beef. Your going to win a confrontation with most anything .

nightstalker Dec 24, 2011 05:20 AM

certainly nothing wrong with simple, home built is always cool

dsal_86Yota Dec 24, 2011 05:51 AM

T_F_E Dec 31, 2011 02:41 PM

That thing is HUGE! Looks pretty good, actually :great: Paint it!!! (When you're done)

Are you welding ALUMINUM diamond plate to the STEEL bumper??
