SAS'ing questions...

Well seeing as I don't have the time, place, or equipment to do an SAS on my 3rd Gen, do you guys know of any place that would do one? I know with that being said I could be looking in upwards of $7k to do the SAS. How much would you guys estimate the cost to be?

For $5K, bring it to me and I'll do it for you. Seriously...

youre a long way from orygun, but this guy is a hell of a fabricator. fwiw i got this email today....

Jake-

I just found this email in a my folder! I must have over looked it.
Anyway, the $2800 SAS was a Holiday Special. Regular price is $3500 now, and it includes eveything. We make all the brackets, spring hangers, shackles, drag link, tie rod, etc... That price is only for a stock waggy axle, not rebuilt or anything. If you wanted a built D44 with locker and high steer it would be $999 with a limited slip diff. But I will still honor the $2800 if your interested!

These prices include the axle? I would drive within a 1500mi radius. Leave the truck with them until it is done. Fly back, drive it home....:hillbill:

I would consider ORS in Wheatridge.

I would hazard a plus 5k bet on completion for hanging a front axle, doing steering, and similar. My guess is getting rear work would bring the total up.

For what it's worth, my parts wish list is looking almost at that excluding labor.

yeah i was looking for a price that included doing the rear also. i wanted it to include everything such as, driveshafts, springs, steering, ect........just gimme the works ;)

I would do it for you if you wanted. I already told someone else the same thing. I suppose my work speaks for itself. If you are serious send me a PM and we can talk about what you are looking for. If I stay in the burg this spring I will have plenty of time.

I might have to take you up on that offer. Your work does speak for itself. I love your rig. I would probably want a similar setup. I would just need an estimate on the cost. Guess I'll figure in new wheels and some 35's ;)
