Fender flare advice?

I'm looking to put fender flares on my '94 4Runner w/ a 4" lift, does anyone know where I could an inexpensive set? I'm just trying to give it a more agressive look, w/out having to cut into my fenders. Anything will look better than the chrome fender trim that is on there now.

Inexpensive is a relative term. I don't think that there are any out there. I had a set of Bushwacker Extend-a-fender flares that cost like $280 that broke from close encounters with trees, rocks and other trail hazards. I am kinda reluctant to spend the money again!

yeah i got the bushwackers, but i found mine used off ebay so i didn't spend the full price. it definelty makes it looke awsome, but i would never pay full price ~$300 on them.

I need to get the Bushwacker Cut-out flares for my 87. The beadlocks have a 2" BS on them and that makes it like 8"+ of tire that is outside of the wheelwells! I have been lucky so far and haven't been pulled over but I know it's just a matter of time. I don't really need the flares on my 94 though.

the cuttouts look sexay!!! but they don't make em for the 4runners. at least not 2nd gens

That may be so, but $350 is $350. I don't want to spend all that on a few pieces of plastic that I am going to break off the rig on the trail. I would rather spend that money on some synthetic winch line and a new locking hook, or to get started on fabricating the flatbed that is coming in the near future.

the cutout flairs are that much? for 2 front flared fiberglass fenders you could get them cheaper than that...

Yup... $349.50 for the set for the 84-88 4WD Cut out flares. Here:

a little cheaper here, but it is still a lot of $$$:

If you can find a set, the Hilux Surf (overseas 4Runner) look really good, and should be about the same price or less then the Bushwackers.

Here's what I did' Fender flares from www.jcwhitney.com. About $80, the fit and look pretty good are flexible and provide 2-4" of covereage. I bend 'em all over the place and they come out just fine.http://207.202.208.243/faithwheelers...4/DSC01153.JPG
