Unfortunately not much time to work on the bumper this weekend. I did start cutting some steel though. Just cut the receiver and some angle iron to length. Nothing pic worthy. I should have more time around the holidays to work on it.
Got some work done this weekend even though I was freezing. Working in a non-heated 25 degree garage can get old fast, but I still got quite a bit completed. There was a lot of cutting, grinding, filing, and sanding all weekend long. Basically, I have all the main structural pieces ready to be welded together.
Just a pile of random parts?
I set the pieces together just to show what they will look like after some serious welding.

how much would you have to modify to make tht fit on a 94 pickup?.i love the design. i wanna go a different route then the prerunners out here in vegas.
Finally, an update. Sorry it took so long. I've had plenty of time to work on the bumper during the holidays, but very little chance of getting on the computer to post pics (Darn kids).
I got quite a bit completed. Here is a shot of a test fit after attaching the mounting pieces to the main beam.
Then I finished welding all the structural pieces on.
Then I spent a great deal of time beefing up the truck's frame with some angle iron I had sitting around (Sorry, no pic of this). Then I located and drilled all the mounting holes in both the truck's frame and the bumper mounts. Here's a pic of the first time the bumper was actually bolted to the truck.
(Look ma, no jack stands or C-clamps!)
That felt really good to get that detail completed. Getting all the holes to line up exactly was challenging, but it turned out very well. There are (8) 1/2" grade 8 bolts attaching the bumper to the truck.
So that's where it sits now. Currently, I am cleaning up some of the welds before starting to work on the top pieces. And then I'll move to the side surrounds.

I haven't had much time lately to work on the bumper, but I did manage to get a little done. I got most of the welds cleaned up, and tacked on the top and back center pieces. Everything is coming out nice and straight so far. Hope I can keep it that way.
(Yeah, I know, the truck is very dirty. Stupid Michigan winter roads!)

Update: I got quite a bit completed on the bumper in the last week. (It helps when your wife has to work all weekend!)
Earlier in the week, I completed the center section that sits under the tailgate:
Then this weekend I started working on the sides. This was real tricky, because it was difficult to get everything level and match the profile of the truck's body lines.

I got all the seams finally welded shut. A few shots of a test fit:
Still need to work on the light mounts and trailer wiring connector access opening. Also need to make some new mudflaps. Then there's a lot of clean up work left to do.
