2nd gen 4runner custom rear bumper

welded together this redneck bumper, got tired of having no bumper

how did you get the back bar off the brackets? im trying to swap my rusty old bumper for a brand new line-x'd one. I cant really see back in there but im pretty sure it might be rusted on. did you encounter the same problem?

my bumper was beat from 4x4ing so i finally decided to make something way stronger, better brackets are in the future. As far as taking it off it came off after i removed all the bolts. I dont know how rusty yours was but mine wasnt to bad

Tougher brackets may be better if ur going with heavier bumpers or if you wheel a lot the old rusted ones most likely won't hold up

You dont want to beat on the factory bumper mounts to hard. I discovered wrinkled sheetmetel under mine.

Looks good, im gonna make the bumper hug the rear alot more when i make new brackets, ill try to get some pics up of the front bumper im putting on this week
