For Toyota, the pickups prior to the Tacomas are designated "Mini pickups" because they were the smaller lighter pickups that were produced.

mkiidrifter 04-24-2009 07:22 PM

o. well i just call em pickups... lol.

FJ40LVR 04-29-2009 06:19 PM

haha i wish. theres a few problems that im tryin to figure out.

battery aint charging
probably needs a new clutch or 4.56 gears
needs new carb (although it works kinda ok)

other than that its runs good when its parked

westy44runner 09-11-2009 09:48 AM

What are the specs? Stock?

i_love_tacos 09-11-2009 03:24 PM

i think it has a small lift. theres a 1 inch block in the rear and the front springs have no sag and is not straight across. it still had some arch. 33s would probably fit well. right now its on 31s. other than that its all stock. no rusted holes at all which is pretty awesome.

westy44runner 09-14-2009 10:27 AM

Good find...I have always like the body style of those early 80s pickups, the round headlights are cool too.

i_love_tacos 09-14-2009 10:29 PM

yea same here. im not going to make it a hardcore crawler. gonna keep as original as possible but eventually gonna convert it to an EFI motor and only go as high as 33s. i hope.... haha
