Does Anyone on Here Tow with a 1st Gen Tacoma?
I realize this is a 4 runner forum, but I was curious if there might be any local Taco owners lurking or cross model info.
I'm converting my 1997 Tacoma into a race car tow vehicle. With the car hauler I have in mind, I'll be right at the GVW and Max Tow Weight.
My truck has 240K miles on the original clutch! I'm going to replace that preventatively, then work on suspension. I'd be curious to see people's set up. The drives to both local tracks are pretty much flat, so I think I can do it without killing my truck.
Specifically, I'd like to see what leaf spring upgrades people are using. I'm not interested in lifting, just moving to something beefier than the 1st gen's terrible 3 spring set up.
