Just a heads up, I HWY 24 is closed between Leadville and Redcliff due to a sinkhole that is 100' deep. This is the route we usually take between BV and Holy Cross on Friday, they say the road is closed indefinitely.
I suggest taking 91 between Leadville and Copper Mtn. to I70, then taking I70 to Minturn to Holy Cross.

It would be a good idea to get to main camp Friday night so you can ask around the campfire who is going to run Wheeler on Saturday. There should be a group running it so you'll be able to tag along. I'd hate for you to show up to the trailhead and nobody show up. Where you going to camp at Wheeler on Friday or our main camp near Salida?
