British Columbia Interior - Newb
Hi, so since this is my first post, let me introduce myself. I'm Tyson, I've always wanted a Toyota 4runner since I got my (full) license at 17 and finally bought a 93' SR5 on my 23rd birthday (In October).
I hope I'm allowed to post here, I took a quick look for something indicating I can't but didn't find anything but I own a Toyota and live in BC so hopefully qualify at least for the BC owners club! Just recently I've been taking my 4runner out and testing out the 4x4 on the bad boy up around where I live here (Kamloops, BC), went up past Barriere off some of the forestry roads near South Barriere lake but didn't get in too much exploring since there's still a fair amount of snow out that way. I'm just wondering if anyone is from the area and know some good spots to try out a little 4x4 and offroading? Keep in mind I'm a complete newbie to this, the only other car I've had was a tiny Saturn SL-1 and my 4Runner is stil mechanically almost fully stock. I'm getting a set of 33' (I believe) super swampers next month that my friend is going to sell me off of his blown 4Runner. Just basically trying to see if anyone is in the area or at least knows some good places to take my 4Runner in the Kamloopsish vicinity. Thanks! |
If your up for a drive check otu along the 97C by merrit. Other good places are beaverdell south east of kelowna. and anywhere east of there. BC has millions of miles of areas to go just need some friends and some fuel to find em. I may be moving to the kamloops area in the next year its good to see there are other yota heads in the area!
