timing chain cover leaking oil

i believe what i am looking at is the timing chain cover on my 22 re, it is leaking some oil onto the pulley system flinging it just below my battery, i was wondering if i can take this off and re seal it without removing the head or the oil pan? any advise is appreciated.

If it is leaking between the top of timing chain cover and bottom of head then the only fix is a head gasket replace, at least for me. A mechanic shop did a great job when the put my new chain and new cover on but all they did was put silicone on top of chain cover and it blew out after a year.
I am doing my head gasket replace as I type. Just about to put new gasket on and then try to get all the other stuff hooked up again and see if it runs without leaks.
