Subaru STI seats in my 86 pickup?

Have the chance to pick up some STI racing seats for $100....Was thinknig about throwing them into my 86 EXT cab pickup. My stock seats are kind of shot, and i like somethnig with some support. Anyone seen this done? Opinions

No....Drill some holes and pickup some grade 8 bolts and your set.

I have WRX seats in my truck.... They are the same seats just different upholstery (STi seats have STi embroidered on them). I had to fab some custom bracketry off of the stock WRX brackets, nothing too bad though. They are VERY comfy, and hold you in like racing seats. They seat really high though, so if you are tall, they may not be your best bet.

Oh and I replaced some 94 Integra LS seats with the WRX seats. You can see the integra seat in the pics too. Those were nice too, alot smaller but not as comfy.

go with the sti's...for $100, hard to beat that.

FYI Supra Seats (circa 80s) bolt up to a similar erra Toyot Truck
4Runners have to drill one hole on the passenger side - other hole already exists and has a threaded sert in it

Instead of drilling holes in the truck, I just made changes to the seat bracket to bolt into the stock locations, either way works though I suppose.
