a small lift

Does any one know of anybody who makes a 2 or 3 inch suspension lift i already have bj spacers and a 3 inch body lift. I dont want to lift my truck to the sky either with like a 4 inch lift i just want a couple more inches of wheel travel, i'm leaning more towards a 2 inch lift nothing really big.

thanks guys

what truck do you have

PoleVaulter95 04-20-2007 08:47 AM

well if you have bj spacers im going to assumore u have ifs which means all lifts are just bracket lifts which wont net u any more travel just the lift except for long travel but i dont think that is what u mean

Get OME torsion bars then crank them up 2", then put an aal or 2" shackles or 2'' lift springs for the rear.

For more wheel travel on IFS, a long travel kit would be the only option (assuming no SAS).

i was thinking torsion bars also but is that going to really give all that much more wheel travel, wont it just lift me 2 more inches, and also about the long travel kit are you refering to like total chaos caddy kits? I dont think i'll do that cause its a little pricey but i checked out

I was just suggesting lift options. I don't think torsion bars give any more travel either. Yeah total chaos kits are a couple grand I think.

i run this set up
Donwey shock hoops
dual bilstiens
low pro bumps
BJ spacers
OME torsions
it gives me a little more travel than stock (i'm going TC in the future)
(Low pro bumps not installed in pic)

I'm afraid you are as others have said stuck with what you have or a long travel kit. You could fab new compression bumpstops with an aftermarket shock hoop if you are up for it.

Torsion bars will not open the travel window, however, stiffer bars will allow you to use less of what travel you have when crawling.

where do you get low pro bump stops at i cant remember if i've seen those somewhere or not, but thanks alot guys you all have been a really big help i think i'm going to just a a shock hoop and those bump stops seeing that theres not alot out there that isnt rediculously expensive i appreciate the help though see you guys on the trail some time

one more thing, Norcalsvx can I see a picture of the lower half of the suspension. I saw where you mounted the shock hoop and the upper part of the shock but where do you mount the lower part. Maybe its obviouse if I go look at my truck but I just woke up
