Lockright install

Hey, so i installed my new lockright in the rear of my 99 3.4l 4x4 taco yesterday and followed the instructions to a T and used these instructions aswell http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/lockright_locker/[/URL]. In both sets of instructions, it showed a bearing cap and adjuster, but in my 3rd I didn't have that. Instead, i had 2 washer like things, 1 would go on the outside of the bearing race on either side.

Im just wondering if this is normal or is something wrong here?

Thanks

Here is a picture of what im talking about.

That circular thing with holes in it and that tab on the top of it didn't exist in my case. In my case there were washers that were slid down between the bearing race and the thing that the race sits in. (im assuming that the washer thing was to set the bearings/backlash.

Also, there wasn't even a spot to place the bolt that is holding that top tab.

Does anyone know if this is normal?

thanks

The picture you posted above looks normal for a 99 Tacoma. Does the one you have look like this:

T100, Tundras and some non-TRD or 2WD Tacomas come with that one instead. I know for a fact that my friend's 99 Tacoma 3.4L non-TRD 4x4 rear diff had the adjusters on it though, because I helped him install his new gears. Have you owned the truck since it's new? If not, are you sure it still has the stock axle?
