Yep, that is what I said in my first post in this thread :)

I was breaking the stock ones pretty regularly with the front locker and 35's, but once I put those on, I didn't break anymore until I did the axle swap

So, how long did you run them and did you wheel it very hard I presume?

I'm assuming you're talking about the CV joint and not the other "tulip" joint which has 3 rollers, not balls. The Toyota outer joint, the "CV" joint, does indeed have 6 balls, not 3.

I ran them for a year or so, maybe a bit longer, on the same trails that were breaking the stock shafts.

you could always consider sending your stock outer CV's to bobby long (longfield) to have them heat treated and cryo'd. i dont see why it wouldnt be the same price as 2 birfields. i just moved up in tire size, so if i start breaking them regularly, im going to give that a try.
