Axle Resizing?

I just purchased a Dana 44. I was wondering if anyone could help me with what size I need to have the Dana 44 resized to in reference to to the length of the old independent axle combination. Also, I was wondering where the perch pads are placed. Any and all help would be appreciated. I have tried to contact all pro, aor, rockstomper, by email, with no luck.

I would assume the 4Runner is the same as a Tacoma for width...in which case the width is very close to stock - within an inch or so.

Just be sure and get a D44 with the diff on the correct side (passenger / driver / center).

Do you have a 2nd gen? If so, check with "Gibby" as he has done the swap.

I sent your question to the other email list that I'm on. I didn't do a Dana 44 swap.

Wicked Runners' been helping me with some of the custom work we've been doing lately. Our next challenge is to move the the steering box 1.5" forward. We just finished redoing rear perches and and custom additional 2" lift/antiwrap combination. Despite having to do it twice this really worked out well. Now I've got 10" of rear lift and no more saggy butt. The axle wrap is virtually eliminated without an anti-wrap bar. I gotta build a ramp so that I can test how changes list this affect articulation.
