Please know I am sure he wasn't meaning to come off as rude, but that is why we changed the button to a blinking green one. Make sure to search in the 4runners & trucks forum.... and change the avatar..... then again, atleast its not a jeep.

Cebby Dec 3, 2003 03:10 PM

He has a D90. IMO one of the best vehicles made. He's getting a Taco. Read the profile (another kind of search ya bunch of not so newbies) :P

I will do a search thanks. i have been looking at the Taco for a while, have always admired the Toyotas PU's for thier capabilities. As for the avatar I dont think I will change it.

I have had mine on for a while and given it a thorough work out a few times :) It works like a charm :)

Here's my install http://www.wattora.com/Mods/snorkel/

rover4x4 Dec 3, 2003 04:01 PM

thanks a bunch.

WATRD Dec 3, 2003 04:08 PM

No problem. The install is pretty easy, thanks largely to the great instructions and template from ARB. The most stressful part was cutting that big hole through the fender, otherwise it was a walk in the park.

Watch it though... it changes how others look at your rig. You will get stopped in parking lots and asked at stoplights what it does. 99% of folks seem to get it, others comment "if you wanted a submarine, you should have gotten a submarine" or words that that effect...

D90's kick butt. In fact, I was debating b/n a used D90 and my current 4runner. Reliability won out. :)

Anyways, as the others have said, search and i'm sure you'll find pics and info on what you're looking for.

Bob

I just have to ask, were you helping Rob install his lift?

Are you ever going to come to Arizona?

I may make it out there sometime. are you ever gonna run through the mud pits of the midwest?

C'mon lighten up everyone, a newbie comes in with a avatar supporting a differnt company than the one the whole board is DEDICATED to, and I toss a little fun at him and everyone jumps YEEESH.

I can answer his question just as well as anyone who is qualified to answer him. I DID install a taco snorkel on my rig, and last I saw, the only other person that HAS a snorkel that answered his question was watrd.

oh BTW newb,
I totally agree with watrd about it being pretty simple, but nervewracking. :welder: my antenna was a PITA too, but I have a 4runner and not a taco, so I would assume that the antenna in a taco clears the tubing for the snorkel.

Yep. The instructions say to disconnect the antenna, but we didn't bother, we were able to just hold the coax out of the way while we drilled.

As Ahnold Strongnbigger would say; "No problemo".

So true. I fit the Taco model on my T100 which was in a way twice as stressful because the template almost matched.

I usually tell 'em it's a periscope.
