87 4Runner Bushwacker Flares with TG Bumper Question
So my buddy has an 87 4Runner with TG's front and rear bumpers and he just purchased some fender flares from BushWacker. We noticed that the flares overlap the stock rear bumper ends and mount there, but he doesnt have the ends or the mounts for them. Just curious if anyone has ran into this issue and what they did? Thanks

On my '85, I just cut off the bottom portion of the Bushwacker flare and then cut it again at the bottom of the actual body line and then inserted the cut off bottom piece into the remaining flare and riveted that piece in place and used some black silicone to fill the gaps:
The other option is to use the pickup flares. They lack the lower bumper notch, but then you have to deal with the gas filler cap notch on the passenger side.

That's a good idea, I'll have to run that by him. His biggest concern with just cutting it and leaving it open was a stick or shrub on the trail getting caught and ripping it off, plus the odd look. Thanks for the tip!
