3rd gen anti inversion?

I cant find any info on anti inversion kit fitment for a 1994 4x4 pickup. The fk13 from OME is only for the first gen, I bought them hoping they would work but theyare straight unlike my bent stepped down shackle plates. I am installing the HD ome springs and wonder if, since no anti inversion products seem to be available from OME for the rear springs in my year pickup, is it even necessary? I have been running an add a leaf with a bump stop extension for 2 years, wheelin at times with full drop and have had no issues. I can install the fk13 kit with 1 shackle plate on the inside of the shackle for both the driver and pass side if I use washers but that doesnt sound good to me.

1. You have a 3rd gen.

2. What the hell is an anti inversion kit?

3. Why would you ever need it?

Just stick with bump stops. Prevents springs from inverting and acts as a fulcrum to help with articulation when crawling. I'd check proper fitment (guess that's right word) rather than slapping something on

Still couldn't picture it. Had to admit defeat and it.

here is a pic showing an anti-inversion shackle properly installed. there are 3 bolts. one of the bolts will hit the frame and stop the shackle from inverting. in the pic you can see the lower two bolts. the top bolt is behind the exhaust. i circled the shackle in the picture.

btw this pic is from today
Now I totally get it. They're shackles that can't be inverted. Inverted as in pulled past 90° relative to the frame(and/or to the point that they would "flip over"/irreversably reverse themselves, which might be more than past 90°, and closer to past inline with the springs, I wouldn't know...never done it...sounds damn near impossible to me). Which could potentially damage the springs I would imagine(should you somehow manage to do it...which I still can't see how you could).

The fk13 anti inversion kit pictured in the second post is a complete kit for the rear springs of your truck. The land cruiser ones (also pictured) are different. To install the fk13 kit on your truck you use one plate per side. The plates are meant to replace one side of your shackle. The reason you can't get it to work is that they don't work on North American trucks. Almost everywhere else the 3rd gen truck is sold the rear shackle frame mount is the same width as the spring, which would make the sides of the shackle straight. We have wider frame mounts which makes that kit pretty much useless to us. I have the same fk13 in a box in the basement that came with my OME kit. It took a lot of frustrating phone conversations to figure that out.

How could they work like that...on any truck? How do they do what they're supposed to do? There's no way they can if you just put one of those on one side of the shackle and do nothing else. Let me tell you ahead of time if you do just that...NOTHING will happen. You'll have funny looking shackles though. I'm looking at my 2nd gen as we speak. That will not work...on either side...of either shackle. I mean it'll work just fine. But it won't prevent inversion.

Wait...now I get it. On the inside, spare tire support/crossmember, might work I guess(good way to twist the hell out of your shackles though I bet). Nevermind me. Should've skipped this thread after all...in hindsight.
