2nd Gen 4Runner Rear Control Arm "Lift" Bracket?
 

I installed LC coils on my 1990 4runner which resulted in about 3.5 - 4" of lift. It looks to me as if the passenger side rear control arm will end up hitting the gas tank when this thing starts flexing.

Where are people buying these "lift" brackets?

I think you have posted the wrong image?

Your control arm (length) geometry doesn't change such that they no longer hold the axel centered on the frame with this kind of lift kit. You get the same travel for the most part (left/right) up and down, but added a little bit of stress (moment arm) on the bushing which could end up changing it t such that your bushings do not constrain the left right movement of the rear end of the brace.

This is what bump stops are for, they mechanically set a limit of movement.

But again your picture isn't very clear about your concern. Jack it up flex it out and see what is what.

yea the control arm will hit the fuel tank with that much lift while flexing. I haven’t seen the brackets before but wouldn’t be hard to make them

the easiest way it to purchase extended upper control arms and one will come slightly bent to allow it to miss the fuel tank. While at it it’s best to get lower ones too to correct pinion angle and will push the axle back to where it should be.
extended arms will make it “flex” much better and put less stress on everything
