Tundra vs domestics
I know these don't have anything to do with 86- 95 toyota's ,but I thought share these videos That I seen on youtube , .:)
Tundra vs. Ford http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2yLI...eature=related Turndra vs. Chevy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pavX...eature=related tundra vs. Ram http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HQcJ...eature=related |
Those are pretty sweet vids
(as a side note, there is a thread strictly for youtube vids. :D) |
Oh , Thanks for telling me .
|
thats cool, but they ARE staged... also if you look close, on the ram video, the ram is spinnin its tires as if its being dragged, but theres slack in the rope.
|
Slack ?? hmm. I didn't see any .
|
Didn't know tires smoked AFTER they stop too! :con:
|
yeah, exactly. i mean honestly, i dont know much about the new tundra, but it seems that a dodge V8 would rip a tundra a new bunghole, in terms of torque.
|
Yeah , I can agree with you on that one .
|
They're entirely staged, they're done by a toyota dealership.
The domestic trucks are being floored and spinning their tires, which means they have less force being put to the ground (spinning tires have less friction than tires going road speed). Because of this the Tundra can pull them pretty easily since he's controlling his throttle and not spinning the tires. |
I doubt the actual truck suspension, or horsepower has much to do with the results.
Big factors are:
|
0-60 in 14 seconds towing 8500lbs. WOW that's like towing two first gen 4Runners and its STILL faster than my 4Runner towing.. nothing.
I do wonder about any companies' ads being non-bias. I mean, the Toyota could have the cat removed, or lower gears for the test, and who would ever know. Just about every truck manufacturer says their truck is the fastest, pulls hardest, brakes quickest and is the most reliable (though I bet Tundra has this in the bag). |
the toyota was in 4 low :D just a thought. i wonder if they have a tundra vs. titan

the tundra has traction control doesnt it? so it wouldn't allow itself to spin out of control which might just be the whole point...

no way to verify there are actually using the v8s in the other trucks.
|
changing it all my a$$
but no way to verify that they arent using 6cyl's in the other trucks And who would really know if they were using lower gears then stock, i mean, most people dont even know that you can change gear ratios |
