2008 Land Cruiser wth worlds first crawl control...

All models get what Toyota says is the world's first "crawl control" system, which automatically controls the engine and brakes at a low speed when driving on surfaces such as rocks, sand or steep hills. Three speed settings can be selected by the driver. Toyota says the system "allows the driver to focus on steering and is also effective at helping the driver get the vehicle out when it becomes stuck."

the new diesel version gets a TOYOTA first twin turbo bringing it up to 600ft. lb. torque!!!
Torsen? limited-slip center differential;

Multi-terrain anti-skid braking system.

Land Cruiser's new direct-injection 4.5-litre V8 diesel with twin-turbochargers features a flat torque curve. Peak torque is more than 200Nm above the Land Cruiser's previous 4.2-litre six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.

The new engine also develops significantly more power, up almost one-third to more than 190kW.

Thats nice and all but who wants to take a 60,000 dollar rig out on the rocks... let me answer my question... if you have it to blow then i guess you could take it out

ya but didnt you read the first words, ALL toyota models are getting a new crawl control, it is similar to the Land Rover terrain response. so i would assume that the new 4Runners, Land Cruisers, Sequoias, etc etc... get it. and come with a center differencial locker.

But you would miss all of the fun. You need the 'stop time' function so that you can go out during work, find mud, get stuck, get unstuck, go back to work covered in mud, start time, and fall asleep in front of the computer.
