4x4 Prerunner?
 

so I'm on craiglist looking to get a tacoma and i see a 2000 pre runner trd, but 4 wheel drive? I thought pre runners were all 2wd. It has the 4wd mud flaps in the rear and its a 5spd manual and has the second shifter for 4wd, is this stock did they make pre runners with 4x4?

You are correct. The prerunner was a 2wd truck on a 4x4 chassis. They just didn't have the front diff, transfer case, axles, ect.
