first, did you mean Bumps? lol

I thought of that, i was going to do something similar to a bungee strap wrapped around the reel and bolted to the tube to make sure they don't fly out...

Also need a way to stow fishing rods out of the way... and this would probably work well with the first-gen 4runner's rollbar!

i put a gun rack bolted to my bench seat of my 22re. Works good but do have to take the poles apart. Berly fits shotguns.
