toyotafiberglass - My sons 4Runner

so picked up this unit for $1.00

previous customer of mine , son's 4runner .. from Calgary AB .

they had it in to the dealer multiple times , he gave me ALL the receipts .. very FIRST invoice is for engine replacement under the warranty recall from Toyota head gaskets , this one was so bad they replaced the short block and 1 head .. owner decided to replace the other head as well .
all back together .. owner drove it for a1 year , and it started to run rough again .

long story short .. dealer replaced throttle body , plugs , wires , alternator , and many other pieces .. over $10,000.00 spent to get it running correctly ! BUT then never did , so the owner "called it" and bought a new DOMESTIC vehicle .

asked me if I wanted it for parts . I bought it !!!

fired it up .. and suspected injectors right off the bat .. so I pulled the intake , and sure enough .
I suspect , originally , the dealer broke the clip that held the injector plug onto the injector . Over time the clip vibrated off creating the stumble . They NEVER checked that again , IDKW ?
anyway .. fixed it with a NEW connector , and put it back together , and now runs like NEW !!

so , being Alberta registered , I decided to give it to my son

working on it when I can here's what I have

$1 and just because of a bad injector clip, haha, you made out like a bandit and all of the work that was done to it. It is looking better already. Great score.
