Yotaluver's 2003 Tacoma Double Cab Build-Up

Well I'm starting with this stock 2003 Toyota Tacoma Double cab, 4x4, E-Locker, 3.4 V6, Auto, 160,000mi, TRD, SR5. It's not perfect as you can see the front bumper has a few little dents and the driver side fender is a little screwed up where it was pushed in and the door hit it when you opened the door, took all of 2 min to pull it out so it wouldn't hit... why didn't someone do that before they screwed it all up??? But it came at a good price and I'm replacing the bumper anyway so who cares?

Here are my plans for it (updated 6/21/12):
  • ARB front bumper (done)
  • Custom rear bumper (done)
  • Tail light guards (done)
  • Tonneau cover
  • window visors (done)
  • 2x 100w off-road lights on bumper (done 6/19/12)
  • CB
  • Fire / PD scanner
  • 2 1/2" SkyJacker rear lift springs (done)
  • Toytec coilovers (done)
  • Extended rear brake line (done)
  • ProComp ES3000 Extended rear shocks (done)
  • 2" Body Lift (done)
  • 33" Duratrac tires (done)
  • American racing wheels (done)
  • Procomp skid plates (done)
  • Gray wire Locker mod (done)
  • AFE Cold Air intake w/ Outerwears cover for muddy / dusty situations (done)
  • Clear Corner Lights (done)
  • roll in bed liner (done 6/21/12)
and more.
yes for those of you who know my old truck this is getting a lot of the same stuff that I took off before I sold it, but this time i'm getting a little better lift as the stock springs with spacers are a little weak for the ARB. More pics to follow as I have time to do the mods.

ARB installed

Working on the lift, tools all over the driveway

Toytec Coilovers

Lift installed, Toytec coilovers in front (set at 2.5" lift but gave 3.5" over the worn out stockers) SkyJacker 2.5" lift leaf springs in rear. Now sits 3.5" hight in front and 2.5" higher in the rear, the rear is still 1" hight than the front which is how I like it. Also 1" diff drop installed.

Now for the BL, still deciding between 1" or 2" will depend mostly on how the 33's fit.

33's should fit quite nicely with a 1inch. I just love the way ARB's look on double cabs. nice truck man!

I went with a 2" just to be sure I'd be good, got it from 4 crawler, ordered on a sat evening and it was sitting on my door step in MD (from CA) Monday morning! Talk about fast service. And it was cheap too. Xxxtreme I'm planning to be there but it depends somewhat on how the lift goes.
