Dip's boring lifted 99' 4runner build
Decided to start a build thread for my t4r to track the progress I make on it as I tend to forget stuff I did
Overall this will be my daily driver so I cant get too crazy with it, but I've said that before lol.
Specs-
99 SR5 2wd auto
191k
I just purchased it on 4/16/14. Since i've owned it ive done the following:
-oil change with rotella 15/40(love this oil, use it in everything)
-coolant flush with with toyota red coolant
-valves covers were leaking fairly bad, turns out all the bolts were just extremely loose. Tightened them all up and no more leaks.
-denso rad
-b&m trans cooler
-magnaflow muffler
-bilstein 5100s
-daystar rear spacers 1/5"
Short term plans:
-e-locker
-fabbed front/rear bumper
-Hood is sun faded so getting that painted is a must
-efan
I would love to find a donor to to 4x4 swap but we will see what happens.
Here is a short list of what is done to it
airraid intake
tb spacer
sequoia wheels with 265/70/17 bfg all terrains
TRD exhaust
magnaflow muffler with trd tip
bilstein 5100s at the highest setting
daystar 1.5" spacers
B&m Trans cooler
denso rad to prevent milkshake
Other than that I plan on getting as much preventative maintenance done as possible before it gets to be 120 degrees out
Here are a few recent pictures of it
this was a mount a made up for my old note2 to run torque pro. I also got a bluetooth obd2 scanner. It works awesome!
And being from AZ this thing has absolutely no rust. None.
Obviously it sucks that it isn't 4x4 but I got it originally because it was a 2wd. I honestly do not need 4x4 but it would be cool to have.
I am sure I can have plenty of fun with this.
