Yakima LoadWarrior Info (Pics)

Well, I got my upgrades for the year already. At first I got the LoadWarrior and instantly after putting it on I knew I should've bought the extension as well. Besides the extra room, it just looks 10x better. If anyone is thinking about buying a cargo rack, I would recommend spending a little extra and getting a longer one.

Without the extension:

And now with the extension:

I also got a shovel mount kit for a short shovel and have it mounted on the driver side. I grabbed a 36" shovel so I can have room to add an ax later on to the same side. As you see, I was bored and painted the shovel to match my Runner. Is it too much???? I know the paint wont last after the first time I use it but....

Normally I wouldn't run around town with a shovel strapped to the side of my truck, but this time of the year, the beaches are a huge sandtrap and I don't want to be left with no way to get out...

Again, what do you think, is painting EVERYTHING going a little too far???

Looks really good!! You have an awesome truck, man. I'm slowly making my own basket thing as I learn to weld.

Thanks, I appreciate it! What's bad is when I get to cross one thing off the list to do to it, I add two or three more! :bang: (well, really I love it. Just don't tell anyone...)

You live in Alaska. That's cooler than any roof rack!

:)

Yeah, I love it up here. Once you're here it gets into your blood.

Only reason I got my rack now was because Amazon had them on sale, free shipping to Alaska, and Yakima is offering a mail-in rebate. So if you add it all up, I saved about $200. I'll tell you what, it'll sure help me when I take the kids out camping this summer. Already hitting the garage sales, thrift stores and packing up the Action Packers so all I have to do it throw them on, strap them down and hit the road!

Glad everyone likes! Thanks.

Born in Anchorage, but left as a kid. Been back for 5 years now. No place like home!
