This would be my first 4runner purchase, just looking to you experts for your opinion.
2 Owners. Current owner has had it for last 13 years. Spent its whole like in NC.
Has decent maintenance records. Timing Belt done at 79k. Appears fluids were changed on a regular basis.
I really wanted a moon roof, but I can compromise.
This gray leather appears to be quite rare, thus it will be tougher ($$$) to get the driver seat repaired. Haven't door panels like these before.
I know what to look for when I test drive it. Just wanted to know what you thought on the surface.

It looks like a nice candidate. The price is what I see in VA for similar vehicles. It will need another timing belt right away and a radiator and lower ball joints. Be sure and check the undercarriage for rust.
This guy on eBay sells a fake leather seat bottom for $130. This one is tan but I notice he has other auctions:

Was trying to figure out the price vs miles, then saw it was 2wd...
Were I looking for an automatic/2wd I'd get a closer look on it as I don't see rust in the engine bay where one typically would and it seems clean but not too clean.
Is that a nest under the cruise control or just a whole lot of pine needles and sticks? Wonder what the underside looks like?
Those center caps are super easy to paint....

Why?? It's only covered 61,000 miles since the timing belt was done. I had my first timing belt job done by the dealer at 170,000 miles. Last week I did the second timing belt job at 354,000 miles.
In both instances the belt had minor surface cracks and would easily have gone many, many more miles.

Terms and conditions...
Nervo19 would be correct had it been an earlier model as far as sticking to the 60,000 timing belt service intervals had it been an earlier 3rd gen. IF you were being strict about the intervals in the case of the '00 I believe you get to go 90,000 miles.
He could be pointing both that and the lower ball joints as bargaining chips.
I was curious as to why the belt was done 11,000 miles early.....
