Would like to trade 2 Turbo Engines for a 22 RE Engine!
Preferable someone on the West Coast. E-mail me for more details, lonny007@pacbell.net
What I would be willing to trade for a good running 22 RE complete engine installed in my truck!
1. Complete Running 22 RTE Engine, Long Block from S&S Engines with less then 1,500 miles on it but possible Head Gasket leak (I am so pissed!)
2. Good Running Long Block with Brand New LC Enginering Street/EFI Pro Cylinder Head w/ EFI Turbo Camshaft & Cylinder Head Stud Set w/ a New LC Rocker Arm Assembly on 10-25-02 (Less then 10,000 miles on it, I paid almost 1,500 for the LC Stuff). Timming chain was done a while back at 162,000 miles. Compression checked at 135 on all 4 Cylinders.
4. Extra complete Head with Rocker Arms(180,000 miles Head most likely shaved to much?)
3. Brand New unopened MLS Head Gasket (just paid 100.00)!
4. Complete unopened Head Gasket Kit!
5.Of course you would get everything in my truck to make a RE truck a RT-E (ECU, INTAKE, TURBO ETC!!!)
6. PLUS I also have these extra parts!
*Lower Intake with fuel rail and 4 injectors that where recently
pulled and serviced.
*Good ECU.
*Good Mass Air Flow Meter.
*Good Distributer.
*Good Water Pump.
*Good Ignitor and Coil.
*Good Fuel Pump.
*Good TPS.
I would be willing to give all the parts listed above (there are also
lots of expensive new hoses that have been replaced NEW)for a damn good 22 RE engine with low miles and No Head Gasket leak and all the propper accessorys to make it a 22 RE truck, you could also have my turbo dash if need be if you have a nice looking 22 RE one available. I also want a 22 RE engine harness that goes from ECU to injectors and you could have mine. I have had a terrible, terrible year and I will not go into that. hehe. I would be more interested if I could drive my truck and parts to your house if possible, double check what you have, take my engine out put the 22 RE engine in (I would have to stay in a motel or sleep in my truck) and go home. I would hope you are good with the 22 RE engines and be able to help, I would be expecting good quality parts since you would be getting almost 2 complete RTE Engines plus a Turbo which are rarer not counting that the 1 engine has less then 1,500 miles on it from S&S and the
Expensive LC Enginering stuff. I will be seriously trying to sell my
truck and all parts this weekend coming up unless you think you can help me out and make something work, I have all reciepts on major parts above. Let me know what you think and the best you can do?

May I be the first to say that the 22 RE is the greatest 4 cylinder in the world!!!! Who's with me???? Anybody wanna discuss building them? I've built mine pretty good. Runs strong.

No offence but why the hell would you want a 22RE? Have you considered the 5VZE S/C?
So what if the 22RE is the most reliable 4 cyl? It's still a 4 cyl
If anything do a 6 cyl setup
My $.02

V6 Dog!
Hehe I have had back surgery, I am broke, in debt, jobless I am looking for a simple way to make my truck more reliable since I will be out in the sticks with it for long periods of time! Should be a great for someone that wants to or is into the 22 R-TE motors!
Also I was the proud owner of a brand new 91 V6 3.0 king cab, what a dog the turbo 4 cyc would run circles around it! I had lots of problems with it too, thank goodness for the warranty! Any how I sold that pig would stay away from those trucks like the plague. Like I said if you could get the head gasket solved on the 22 R-TE it is a fun little screamer engine! I live up in the sticks no machine shop, my back is jacked up. To do it right I would have a machine shop machine the head and block to 10 RA then use APR studs with max tourqe then you might have something!

I might possibly be interested...I live in Tacoma, Washington. The problems with my 22-RE are a few and far between, I just repaced the radiator, water pump, slave/mater cylinders, and starter. However it has a slight timing problem, and a small oil leak. E-mail me and we'll chat hybrid_nex@hotmail.com
