Post Will one dealership fix another's mistakes (tranny fluid)?

I just checked my tranny fluid and found that there is too much in my transmission. It's not by a little either. It seems to be too high by about 1.5". It looks like the guy who did it filled it up to hot marks when the tranny was cold. I had my fluid replaced about 7K miles ago. The dealership that replaced my fluid is about 2 hrs away.

Will one dealership fix the other's mistakes? I'm going to give the close dealership a call on Monday but I would kind of like to know what to expect.

Thanks for the help.

Nope, have to take it to original dealer or pay the second dealer for the rework.

Nevermind. I'm such an idiot. I haven't checked tranny fluid in a while. I was checking the fluid with the vehicle off. I'm so stupid. What was I thinking?

:wtf:

What is you problem man? We don't allow mistakes at Yotatech. Your punishment will be that you must donate $100 to the Florida chapter of 4ROC.

Yes. I have corrected a few of other dealers mistakes and have worked it out with the offending dealer to cover the repair and vise-versa.

Glad you have solved the problem though.
