Time to get acquainted with the FSM:

There are threads around here on the COR.

This link is almost word for word for whats going on with my rig.
In the end......a loose ground on the drivers side engine bay.
What is the diag port?
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-ge...en-stalls.html

Quote from thread:
I am checking all the hoses for vacuum leaks now. Noticed on the "DIAG" port on the drivers side of the engine, there was a bolt ground running from the diag port to the engine that was wayyyy loose. I tightened it up. My PCV valve looks like it's leaking too. Going to go ahead and replace it. Would that cause my symptoms? PCV's are cheap, so figured i'd do it. Also may clean my idle air control.

Thanks!

Glad you found the problem. Looks like you need a better air filter.

Its an amsoil filter......with almost no bugs on it.
The fog of bugs we went through was like a black out!
Anyhoo.....free fix....... Just a few squirts of sensor cleaner.
Been running fine since.
