Where to buy 5VZ-FE header flanges

Can someone please point me to where I can buy a set of weld flanges for the 5VZ-fe. I know some of you must have made your own headers for the 3.4L and if I dont have to cut them myself, that would be a HUGE time saver.

Thanks in advance.

Downey shows a cnc machine in thier catalog and talks about thier headers being made in house flanges and all. Im sure you could call them and possibly buy just the flanges.

Verry cool, Ill definatly look into that. Do they have a website I can contact them through? Im still a newB here and dont know the 4runner world too well yet. Thanks

Anyone else have a good source?

Try Edelbrock too. Your chances of getting ahold of Edelbrock over Downey are really high. I couldn't even find a number for Downey when I wanted headers; therefore I went with Edelbrocks. They were cool on the phone too.

Google Edelbrock and go from there.

I have never heard of anyone making their own headers for the 3.4... There are several companies who do make them, however.

Edelbrock
Downey
JBA
TRD
Thorley/Jardine (In R&D phase still)

Good luck with finding a resource for your project and welcome to the forums.

Doc,

Thanks for the encouragement. I will have to make my own header/Exaust manifold due to the space restrictions in my project. I already have all the bends needed to construct the headers except the weld flange to bolt to the head. I have constructed headers for three 4cyl projects at our shop but, this will be my first V6 and i want it to look nice and flow well.

Im going to be opening up the engine and porting a bit. In terms of upper RPM range where is the most power to be made?

try www.f2uning.com, they built a twin turbo 4runner, so they had to have made manifolds for it.. maybe they still have the jig for the flanges and can cut you a pair. i would think it would be easier to get it from them than some of the big manufacturers.

I've got a set, drop me a pm and we can talk.
