What's a good all around tire for these conditions?
I live in Northeast NY, on Lake Ontario, so we get a lot of lake effect snow squalls, not to mention regular winter storms. Being that the highway crews here use a lot of salt, we also have a lot of ice and slush to contend with. I go 4-wheeling a couple times a month, summer and winter, so I see everything from deep snow, and semi-deep snow, to mud to dirt trails. I don't want to change tires every season, and I don't have the extra money floating around to do so. What one type of tire would you recommend for "all" of these various conditions?

BFG AT's and Bridgestone Revo's will probably be the most suggested. I haven't run my BFG AT's in the snow yet, but I'm hoping to get a chance this week if the pending storm pushes far enough South.

As far as wet traction goes, nothing will outperform the Revos. They are also very good offroad and very good (and quiet) on highway. (Not to mention the 50k mile warranty). You just can't beat them. The BFG's won't hold a candle to the Revos in rain and snow... Or in any other category as far as I'm concerned. I have ran both and obviously prefer the revos. You know my vote.

BFG all terrains, I ran them for years then muds. All terrains are great. Hey chicken lover, how is the snow? I used to live in Reno for years, might take the snowboard up for a newyear's vacation. That all depends If any of my pals or I get stuck out at Black Rock Springs.
