What size hose, flex or straight for Isr mod....

Ok folks, the drama begins. Already did the air box mod with the drilling of holes and such, now looking at the ISR mod. Problem is I see people using 2" hose, some use 2.5" hose, and some use 3" hose going from the air box to the intake. I am getting tired of running back and forth to the auto parts store needing this and that and would like to make one stop and one stop only.... a 45 minute project turns into a 3 hour project because of this. Yes, i am a very impatient person!!! (I shoot first THEN ask questions if you catch my drift.....iraq and afghanistan has a tendancy to do that to a person ) Also, not going to be doing a lot of off-roading which brings me to my next question. Does it really matter if the hose is ribbed or smooth? Will be doing a lot of highway/road driving, with the occasional kamikaze puddle thrashing chasing Bass, Red drum on the surf, and whitetails with the every-so-often wild hog. Any help would be aaaaahhight.......

Thanks--

Protector of the Flag

The smooth tubing will cause lett turbulance and therefore be more effective. Pvc pipe works really good. it's easy to cut and glue and really cheep.

I assume you are talking about the pipe that connects the air box (AFM) to the throttle body. Yes, it needs to be smooth. If you are going to spend any time doing a mod like this, do it right. You need to go to a muffler shop and have them 'mandrel bend' you a 3" metal pipe. Don't go to Midas or Mieneke. Go to a privately owned muff shop where they actually know what they're doing.
