What should I buy?
 

I am getting a 4,500 dollar tax return and Need some things for my 87 runner.I am getting a fully rebuilt engine with a bigger cam and a worked over head,used later model 5 speed and transfer case.I also want to change the color of my interior.I don't do major off roading but do take the family out quite a bit.What else should I getfor it?I was thinking some sliders,bumpers,maybe a soft top.

a new engine..... thats pretty expensive on its own.....

if you know what you're doing, you can build a nice engine for around $1000 :)

a good engine(used), tranny and transfer case shouldn't run you more than $1000 though.

I'm having a machine shop build me a 22re with a bigger cam and a worked head for 1500.I am doing all the work,He's just building it.

so are you doing a full rebuild or jsut the top end?

also, he said a new engine.. a new engine and a rebuilt engine are not the same.. the rebuilt is way cheaper than a new engine

Full rebuild.I meant new as in not the one that's in it now.

I'm also thinking of more lift,I want 5"of suspension and 35's.

You should buy my 86 with the supra swap :)
