What RB lift should I get?
Ok.....I need some input here, I want to do a body lift soon, and I'm looking at either the 1" or 2" RB lift. But I'm stuck between the two, I don't know which to get. I want to fit 33's without any rubbing problems, but I also plan on installing a TJM eventually and don't want the huge gaps. I'm not worried about the hitch gap, but I think the bumper gap would drive me crazy. What should I do? Does anyone have any pics of a 3rd gen with these lifts installed? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!!:helo:

Oh ya.....I also have a manik brush guard. Will I have to remove it if I install the body lift?

get the average of the two.. 1.5" ;) its a perfect compromise. yes..you'll have to remove the brush guard. i think the only way you can keep it is if you dont do the bumper lift as well, since lifting the bumper will cause clearance issues between the contours of the brush guard and your bumper (bumper will be higher).
of course if you dont lift the bumper, you'll have an unsightly gap between the top of the bumper..and the bottom of your lights/grille. although some people have filled this gap with weatherstripping of some sort. Although they were using it with an aftermarket bumper, the filled gap might not look so good on a stock setup. |
go with 2" bc eventually you'll always want to go a little higher.

I'll do $80 + shipping if you want. Its in perfect condition, these RB kits are bulletproof anyways.
Im getting rid of it because I'm too high. I have a 6" susp, and 2" BL, so Im taking off the BL to lower my COG.!! |

yes you will have to remove the grill guard and fabricate some new lower mounts for it
