Well the Downeys are in!!
Well it took us about 5 hours. But that included drinking several beers, and going to the store for some brake fluid. I was expecting a smidge more height than I got, but maybe I was being unrealistic. I have some pics but I'm going to have to send them to Corey because I can't get them to a size the forum will allow with out them looking like an avatar or something. I didn't need the spring compressor like I thought I would. Instead one of my friends pulled while I stood on the drum and my other friend held me up . Made for a rather insteresting picture. Anyway, Corey if you don't mind I shoot you a couple of pics to post in here.

You might have to bring the front up a tad now. Hey, you don't have the 31" tires on there do you? Kind of hard to tell from the pics. If not, the 31's will fill up the wheel wells nicely. It looks like you got about 2" of lift. |

Oh and I'm planning on cranking the torsion bars a smidge. I like the look of the back be a little higher, but not that much. Thanks, for that link for bleeding the brakes. Some of it came in handy. |

You look like you got more lift than I did back there, unless it's the slope of your driveway efecting the picture. Corey |
Here's what I did? For those who asked. I lifted the truck and took off the wheels. I put the jack stands under the hitch like everyone has recommended. Then put the floor jack under the diff. I then took the shocks off. Loosened the brake lines as recommended. Next we let the diff. down. At this point we thought we needed more drop from the diff. So we unbolted the left side of the sway. Next the right side but I couldn't budge it. So I decided to stand on the brake drums. The picture of that could bring up some questions, but I'm confident with my manhood. As I stood on the brake drum, my friend pulled on the spring while my other friend made sure I didn't fall. I had to bounce the drum so the spring would come out. We did this on both sides, and did the same to put the new springs in. Once they were in, we attached the new brake line. This wasn't clearly defined in the instructions if you ask me. I took a pic to show you what it looks like. After the brake lines were put back together we put the new shocks on. Finally we flushed the brakes and put the tires back on. All done.
