Upgrading Headlight Harness
I was gonna try HID lights but i think im gonna go with some Hella 90/130w bulbs. I have read that its recommended to upgrade the wiring harness. I found this one from summit racing: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRM-01-130/?rtype=10 Is that what i need to use the lights safely and without damaging my factory harness? Ive searched for a hour and cant fine anything on the harnesses or links to a aftermarket harness. Thanks for any help.

If you decide to go with HIDs I have a 96 Tacoma and I changed to HIDs about 3 months ago. Very simple change over, pretty much just a plug and go, took less then a hour to put in.
Havent had any problems with them. And they made a huge difference. |
I just put HID's in my 2000 tacoma 2 weeks ago, best thing i could have ever done. got them off of ebay. my kit is a bi-xenon kit, with 4300k stock white illumination bulbs. heres the link to the seller's store.

Aftermarket Wiring harness upgrade
B. Graves -
I did loads of research when I decided to upgrade my factory lights to the Hella 55/100W bulbs. Here's where I ordered mine along with my bulbs: http://www.rallylights.com/SMS_Custo...Harnesses.aspx It's been REALLY nice being able to hit the high-beams and turn night into day. Susquehanna MotorSports had both great service and quality at a very good price.... worth a look. |
