Tune up parts ??

Hey all new owner of 02' sr5 4x4 picked it up with 50k for 14k .. thought it was worth the xtra cash for lo miles. First thing I did was install Kenwood 6960 Nav.

Wondering about tune up parts and here is what I'm thinking any input is appreciated...

Plugs- Denso or NGK -Iridium or Standard

Wires- NGK

Air Filter - Decided on K&N washable

Oil Filter - Purolator Pure One

Oil- Going for Mobil 1 for price and accessibility

Thinking about synthetic in the diff's but not sure..

need pvc valve , fuel filter, trans filter but not sure brand matters.. thanks again

Use the factory filter, it's very high quality. DO NOT use a K&N filter no matter how cool everyone thinks they are.

They filter with oil in the filter media, the oil gets all over the mass airflow sensor and screws things up. The 3.4 is an awesome engine, but it is VERY reliant on its electronic sensors.

Also you should not have to replace the plug wires at 50,000 miles, they are good for at least 100K, when you do replace them, use factory wires.

I prefer the standard NGK plugs. Why? I change them every 30,000 miles and I like working on my 4Runner, plus it gets my hear down in the engine and that's a good thing.
