Tried some 35's today to see how bad they would rub and how bad 4.88's and the 2.7 would be.

I was actually impressed it was a little bit of power loss, but it was very very drivable. It only rubbed on the frame when on the flat and it rubbed on the pinchweld and the fender when flexed :D

one time i ran my buddy's 38x11's on my rig with only a 3" BL lol.

lets just say i didn't get to wheel them:) (rubbed to bad)

These fortunetly didn't rub bad, but if i was gonna wheel them i'd have to start cutting, they'd rip my fenders off :D

Oh and i got 21mpg at 60mph with them and 17-18 at 70

LOL! I run 35's and I love them, but in order not to cut the fenders I had to lift it taller than I would like for off road. It always feels tippy. I put some wheel spacers on to try and widen it out. That is amazing gas milage! I get around 14mpg. :(

Nah, I'll be cutting the fenders and tubing the firewall to fit 35's no need for more lift. Keep the center of gravity down.

wow I ran 33 for a day stock and was rather impressed by those but had a good amount of rubbing everywhere when doin a little off roading.

but when i lift my truck I might just go for the cut chop and pray with the 35" method they look awesome

Man those look great! I agree though, don't lift anymore, just pound out those seams and cut the fenders. Personally, I don't think rigs lose any of their street appeal when you trim the fenders to fit larger tires, but then again I think primer is an acceptable color too so what do I know. You want to keep the low center of gravity or it won't matter that you have an extra inch of ground clearance to the pumpkin.

35s look great.

you talk about pounding out seams, and trimmming fenders, but even with a 2' BL and 3" supension in the front i had to cut off the pinch weld and 1.5" of the body to clear those babys. Before the wheel spacers i didn't rub on the body after the first round of trimming, then after wheel spacers I had to cut more off. Still rubs a little when I mash it down on a corner.

I am not talking about pounding the seams, they are already pounded in.

I am talking what you did, cutting out the whole pinch weld and tubing the whole firewall right there.

35's can be run on only 2.5" of lift, buddies 3rd gen is.

I had some of the toyo M/T's in 35's and holy crap they were awesome. Never had to fight for grip in any situation: mud, rocks, gravel, wet rock... I loved them and plan on getting another pair when i get my runner all fixed up again.

i'll prolly go with the bighorns, but i really want some 35x10.5x16 ssr's
