Transmission noise

I get a noise when i shift the tranny lever to L. D to 2 is fine, but 2 to L makes a noise. It can only be heard if the window is down, radio off, and its quiet. The noise is difficult to describe, its sort of like a "squeezing" sounds or "burbing sound", the sound you get when grease is squeezed through a small opening.

Havent had the opportunity to crawl under and listen/watch while someone else shifts the lever.

This ring a bell for anyone?

Why don't you go to Tellico this weekend and we can have plenty of people look at it.

Ok, I just went out and tried putting mine in L and sure enough it makes the same noise you described. Only mod to my tranny is the cooler, so I guess it's normal unless someone else says otherwise.
