Trailer Hitch questions!

Hey guys
I have a 92' toyota pickup and am trying to figure out what needs to be done to put a trailer hitch on. My question is, does anybody know if the spare tire will get in the way and does it have bolts to attach it or do i need to weld it on.

i dunno about 92's too well but I got a Reese Hitch and wiring harness from Advanced Auto Parts....its fits fine and doesnt interfere with anything.....its a class 3 hitch rated for 500lbs tongue weight and 5500 lbs tow compacity....I'd check out an Advance or Napa or something and see what they have....

I got a Class III on my 94 and it doesn't interfer with any thing and the holes were already there!!

Try www.etrailer.com and see what they have available... I have a code for a discount for like 5 or 10%, I will try to find it for you.

I got mine from here 92'-95' runner http://www.hitchmart.com/$spindb.query.hitchinfo-2.hitchview.87020

I had to drill 1 holes total (one on each side). It mounts by 2 bolts per side to the frame. Was pretty easy, and it does not get in the way of the spare.

it bolts on and doesnt interfere with the spare tire....

Sorry I missed the "pickup", mine went on a 93 4runner with 31's. Dont know if there is any difference or not.

just make sure its a Class III...like I said before Reese makes a good hitch that looks stock/nearly invisible and donest interfere with anything....it also was totally bolt on, no drilling...

I have a 1994 PU with a Reese Class IV hitch that bolted up with absolutely no drilling, all you had to do was bolt it to the frame with 6 bolts. The good thing about it was that it was only $15 more than the Class III and it was a direct fit. The Class III that I tried before was supposedly "universal", but I couldn't get the thing to fit on my truck to save my life.
