Trailer Hitch questions!
Hey guys
I have a 92' toyota pickup and am trying to figure out what needs to be done to put a trailer hitch on. My question is, does anybody know if the spare tire will get in the way and does it have bolts to attach it or do i need to weld it on. |
i dunno about 92's too well but I got a Reese Hitch and wiring harness from Advanced Auto Parts....its fits fine and doesnt interfere with anything.....its a class 3 hitch rated for 500lbs tongue weight and 5500 lbs tow compacity....I'd check out an Advance or Napa or something and see what they have....

I got a Class III on my 94 and it doesn't interfer with any thing and the holes were already there!!

I got mine from here 92'-95' runner http://www.hitchmart.com/$spindb.query.hitchinfo-2.hitchview.87020
I had to drill 1 holes total (one on each side). It mounts by 2 bolts per side to the frame. Was pretty easy, and it does not get in the way of the spare. |
it bolts on and doesnt interfere with the spare tire....

thanks for the info

just make sure its a Class III...like I said before Reese makes a good hitch that looks stock/nearly invisible and donest interfere with anything....it also was totally bolt on, no drilling...

I have a 1994 PU with a Reese Class IV hitch that bolted up with absolutely no drilling, all you had to do was bolt it to the frame with 6 bolts. The good thing about it was that it was only $15 more than the Class III and it was a direct fit. The Class III that I tried before was supposedly "universal", but I couldn't get the thing to fit on my truck to save my life.
