Toyota E-Locker in 2WD??
i was just wondering if it was possible to put in the factory toyota e-locker into my 98 2WD?? i am asking because (and i could be wrong) isnt the only way it can be engaged is in 4LOW?? considering i obviously dont have that, is it still possible for me to do that.
Also, will i be able to put in 4.88's with the locker?
sorry if these questions are kinda stupid, but i did a search and they dont really say much about the locker in 2WD

Good question, I would like to know too.
I'm not too worried about the gears, but would be interested in a locker
Anybody have any answers??
Casey, be sure to post what you find out.

A similar question was asked about 10 days ago. Yes you can do it you ground the #8 pin on the factory locker ECU. If you build your own controller or use the Downey cable its not an issue.
Here is the thread.
