tmc 1.1 and 7th injector

after searching, i had difficulty finding the answer to my question. im sure its somewhere on yotatech, but i couldnt find it.

im getting the 7th injector kit installed sometime next week (once it arrives here in charlotte, its on backorder) and i was wondering if i needed to take off my tmc 1.1.

thanks

Umm, somewhere between "probably" and "you should, but it's not a requirement". Do you think that the TMC is helping you now? How far do you have it tweaked? i.e., are you using it more on the top end of the RPM range or? And how much retard do you have dialed in?

The 8th will come with an additional piggyback which will do some timing retard. Plus, with the additional fuel being pushed at WOT, you may not need to retard the timign as much.

Thesafe answer here is that it won't hurt to leave it in, you can always dial it down. The more qualified answer is that it's not needed, but it may help in extreme detonation cases.

thanks mark, i was hoping you or some of the other s/c experts would chime in.

i noticed some improvement from when the tmc first went in. its set at about 8 degrees or so.

i will tinker with it when the 7th injector goes in, and i plan to get a smt-6, but well see.

basically i wanted to know if it would get in the way of toyota putting the 7th injector in.
