Tire Sizes
 

Hey,
I have a '98 SR5 4runner (bone stock) and am in the market for new tires. I want more agressive tires (i.e. All terrains, Muds or Goodyear MT/R s) and was wondering what would be the largest tire size I can run w/o rubbing. I know the Limiteds run 265's on 16's so Im sure I can run a bigger tire than my stock 225's on 15's. Any suggestions on what size I can run and/or what type of tire runs best for mild off road use, still keeping good HI-Way performance.

I had the same thing as you... 98 SR5 bone stock. I immediately threw on some 31/10.5/15 ProComp Mudders and had NO RUBBING at all even with full lock. I'm actually getting rid of my tires on Friday when my 33's go on. If you live in So. Cal you can pick up the 31's for free. They have a good 6 months left on them. Let me know if you're interested.
