Time for new rear brakes
So my 1996 4runner braking issues continue. I did a 199mm front brake caliper/ disc setup back in september. Wow what a difference!. Well, it did not last long. Front end shakes when braking have returned.
After looking over the the front end for worn parts in the steering and suspension. We came up with the fact the rear brakes are leaking fluid as the culprit. Since the rear brakes aren't doing any work and caused front to heat up so bad I may have warped the discs again. I ordered new rear brake cylinders from toyota and new pads. can't wait for this project. Thankfully, the weather is improving EDIT: I guess I might be wrong about whats leaking back there Just read that rear axle seals fail often great..... |

I had that problem when my LSPV (load sensing proportioning valve) went out.

The two fluids smell so different you should be able to tell just from the smell.
Are you needing to replace brake fluid ?? |
