taillight converter question

im planning on installing a factory toyota hitch reciever on my new 97 5speed. seeing as its never had a tow hitch before would it have the connections present to buy a plug in taillight converter such as the hopkins 43415 or do i need to buy one and wire it myself?

Most Wiring kits for the hitches have convertors build in. You'd only need to solder the wiring to your existing wires.
P.S. Look under and between your left bumper wing and bosy on your rear bumper. There is a vent there for air escaping the cabin and there should be a plug for trail harness from Toyota. Even the hitch was never installed on your truck you may have this plug. Then all you'd need is to buy a wiring kit for trailer hraness from Toyota.

all that I had to do with mine is remove the tail lights and plug the plug in to the converter then in to the light harness.

it should be an inline harness easy and quick actually surprised me.
