stutter at idle, engine dies after throttle blip
I just replaced knock sensor and knock wire. All new gaskets, followed the book except for fuel pressure relief procedure. Instead I just loosened the banjo bolt and let the fuel system drain. I did loosen/remove fuel cap to relieve in tank pressure. Did not disassemble fuel rail and injectors, leaving the unit intact. Everything sat for approximately 4 days.
Installed everything correctly, as it came off. Double checked all plugs to verify connection.
Not sure if there is a specific way to repressurize the system/fuel line that I was not aware of.
1997 Toyota Tacoma 3.4l 4x4, stock everything.

Cranking engine pressurizes the system. Check for loose grounds/electrical connections are tight and be sure all vacuum lines are on in the right place. There is a small vacuum tube that connects to the driver side head near he fire wall that is easy to miss. Is the check engine light on?

I checked all connections, grounds and vacuum. There is a split on the hose leading from the left head to the intake plenum. CEL is on. Truck has trouble starting off crank, need to press gas pedal for start - never had to do this before.
