strange sound when turning.
This only happens after a cold start. When I turn the steering wheel it makes a noise similar to a sick owl hoot (or maybe a sea lion). I can kind of feel it it in the steering wheel. After the truck warms up it no longer occurs. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Maybe the power steering pump or fluid level? Or a loose belt?
|
Ive got the same noise but mine does it in all temps on hard turns when climbing or going into a hole.

:pig:cake, sounds like a belt issue (fluid is stiff when cold, pump harder to turn, belt slips a little - my dime-store logic anyway)
BBB - if yours sounds like a creaking, all you have to do is lube your steering stops. |
Tankyuh Ceb I will do tnite while on the clock ofcourse.
